Overview
AusCheck was the background checking provider for the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™.
AusCheck conducted over 39,000 background checks of workers and volunteers across the tournament.
The background checks ensured greater safety at the event and mitigated the personnel security risks posed by trusted and malicious insiders.
‘It took a team effort from FIFA and the host country Governments to stage the greatest ever FIFA Women’s World Cup. With the support of AusCheck, millions of fans experienced a safe, inclusive, and joyous tournament across Australia, and in neighbouring Aotearoa New Zealand.’ Sarai Bareman, FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer.
‘AusCheck is proud to have served the Australian and international community as a host nation for this record breaking major national event (MNE).’ Cass Coleman, Director AusCheck Service Engagement.
As Australia looks towards the Green and Gold decade, AusCheck will continue to provide background checks for other ministerially declared MNEs in the future.
