Issue: Applications are getting stuck in status “Applicant Action Needed – Issuing Body Requested” when applicants change their operational need details. Unexpectedly, the employer is unable to view and confirm these changes in their Employer Portal.
Expected behaviour: Employer is able to view and confirm the operational need changes from the applicant. Application is able to progress.
Advised workaround: Email the AusCheck Service Centre,
auscheck@homeaffairs.gov.au and provide the application details. AusCheck will manually progress the application and remediation activities.

Users affected: NSSIC and CIBC Employers
Issue:
- Applicants who request additional Operational Needs are not automatically approved by the system when they have a clear background check i.e. “all green”. Instead, the Applicant’s Operational Need request status is “pending” approval by the Employer and listed in the “Applicants requiring your decision” area on the portal.
- In addition, the numeric counter on the home page of the Employer Portal does not accurately reflect the number of requests pending decision and shouldn’t be relied upon.
Expected behaviour: - Applicants who request an additional Operational Need and have a clear background check i.e. “all green” should be automatically approved by the system.
- The numeric counter on the home page of the Employer Portal should accurately reflect the number of requests pending decision.
Advised Workaround: Employers should periodically check for Operational Need requests temporarily found in the “Applicants requiring your decision” list on the portal, review and if satisfied approve.

Users affected: Employers and Responsible Entities
Issue: Excessive response times when selecting "Manage Operational Need" or "Manage Decision" with some users reporting over 45 seconds of page load time.
Expected behaviour: Response time is significantly reduced.
