Information for issuing bodies
Issuing bodies (IBs) must comply with the requirements and obligations of the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005.
Since July 2023, AusCheck has been working with industry to establish a Single Issuing Body for the ASIC and MSIC schemes, the AusCheck Issuing Body. As more ASIC and MSIC issuing bodies transition to AusCheck, more people will apply for or renew their ASIC or MSIC with AusCheck.
AusCheck is working with IB's and industry stakeholders on scheduling and transitional arrangements. This ensures that applicants and industry have continuity of service during their respective transition of IB responsibilities to AusCheck.
Applicants should continue to apply for an ASIC or MSIC as per existing procedures until their IB transitions to AusCheck if the above does not apply to them.
