AusCheck background checking fees

​​The table below outlines AusCheck charges for:

  • Aviation security identification Cards (ASICs)​
  • Maritime security identification Cards (MSICs)
  • Security Sensitive Biological Agents (SSBA)
  • Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI)
  • Major National Events (MNEs)

The charges in the table represent AusCheck fees for the background checking component of each application and cards. These fees are not subject to GST.               ​

An issuing body, responsible entity, registered entity, or organising body may incorporate this charge within it's own administrative costs when setting the final application charge. Administration costs may vary between issuing bodies and entities.

If charges change, AusCheck will endeavour to consult with affected industry participants early in the change process.​

Cost recovery

AusCheck operates on a cost recovery basis. Any charges we collect cover the actual cost of providing our service.

This process represents an ongoing commitment by the Australian Government to ensure that fair and accurate costs are recovered from those who pay for its services.
