Major National Events (MNEs) are declared by the Minister for Home Affairs under the AusCheck Act 2007(Opens in a new tab/window).
AusCheck was the background checking provider for these declared past MNEs.
The background checks:
- improved safety at the events
- helped to reduce security risks from people inside the event.
