About RAM
You need to be authorised in Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) to use these AusCheck portals:
- employer portal
- facility operator portal
- verifier portal.
RAM is an application owned by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). It's used by organisations to manage their business authorisations. It protects organisations from unauthorised delegates.
Who grants RAM authorisation
Your organisation's principal authority or authorised administrator can grant RAM authorisation. A principal authority is typically someone in a finance area who lodges the Business Activity Statement (BAS) for the organisation.
Contact your verifier or finance area if you don't know who can give you RAM authorisation.
How to get RAM authorisation
Ask your principal authority or authorisation administrator to give you authorisation.
The principal authority or authorisation administrator will need to select:
Authorisation: Machine credential administrator
Agency: Department of Home Affairs
Access level: Full access

Accept RAM authorisation
When you've been given RAM authorisation, you'll be sent an authorisation email. You need to accept the authorisation.
